ABout Ryan

Ryan Sytsema (he/him) is an actor, singer, dancer, and artist from Mount Pleasant, Michigan. He is a sophomore BFA Musical Theatre major at Texas State University, where he is expected to graduate in 2028.

Ryan’s love for performing began in third grade when he played a donkey in a community theatre production of Pinocchio — and there was no turning back.

That passion led him to Interlochen Arts Academy, where he spent his junior and senior years studying theatre full-time. Through trudging through the snow in sub-zero temperatures, Ryan deepened his commitment to the art form and to the power of storytelling.

Ryan is driven to tell and create stories that matter and bring joy to others.

When not performing, you can find him songwriting, downhill skiing, sitting by a pool, hiking, or playing cards with his family.
